Mind Body Spirit Show London May 2008
It was the 11th hour when we booked ourselves onto the mind body spirit show in London 2008. We were already booked onto the Renaissance fair in Cape Town over the same time, but felt really drawn to be in London. Carol, agreed to hold the Labyrinth for us in Cape Town, and so we were set. However, the day before we left, we were catapulted into deep shock at the news of a loved one's death, only to find out hours later, it had never happened. A scam, which has been happening a lot in the suburbs of Constantia, informs a family that their domestic worker has been killed and asks for money to pay for the funeral. In our case it involved a child who has been a cherished son and brother. Reeling from this shock and being very aware of the gap between our cultures in South Africa, we left for London, set ourselves up at the show and worked flat out for 6 days. The energy at the show was super powerful, it was over the time of Wesac and the Dali Lama was in town. It felt like the universe was pouring as much light as possible through us.

We had arranged with Carol before we left, to form an energetic bridge between us in London and Cape Town, while she was facilitating a Labyrinth Peace Walk at the Renaissance Fair and we were working with the Labyrinth at the Mind Body Spirit Show. Little did we know, it would be over the time of all the xenophobic attacks and South Africa was in the opposite state to Peace. It was on the morning of the Peace Walk that I was doing a meditation and experiencing myself with one foot in Africa and the other in U.K. that one of our Vortex Labyrinths snapped in half. Energetically, it felt like an electric shock going through my body. When the time came for Carol to be facilitating the Peace Walk in Cape Town, we silently made a connection on our side in London. For that full hour, our stand was surrounded by African people. The most significant of all were two young sisters, one with dark skin and eyes and the other with pale skin and blue eyes, they spent that whole time with us helping people on the labyrinths, truly holding the space!

It was that night that I woke with the Chartres Pattern strongly in my etheric body, grounding through the top of my head. I was also very aware of the fact that this pattern was built in France at the time of the Cathars, a time of division and turmoil. The message was one of hope, that duality needs to totally crack, fall apart, to allow space for a higher consciousness to come in. The next morning we needed to drive to the show, it was pouring with rain and we managed to miss the turn off, we travelled for half an hour in the ' wrong direction' unable to turn around, as there were no off ramps. We had a very strong feeling of being on one of the long loops of the Chartres pattern. But as we work with this pattern all the time, we knew to trust the path...
